The 2009 Fall Show was again marred
by rain on two of the three days. This recurring problem will be resolved (we hope) by the August scheduling dates for
2010. Despite the rain the show was an overall success with many tractors, garden tractors, hit-n-miss
engines and a miniature working sawmill displayed. The featured tractor - Farmall had 55 registered.
A total of 141 tractors were registered, but quite a few unregistered tractors were also displayed. 28 hit-n-miss
engines were registered as well as several equipment items including a working shingle mill. Please register any equipment,
engines and tractors that you bring to our shows so we can publicize all the displayed items for the public to see! Officers elected at the November, 2009 meeting for 2009-10
are: Mike Lessman - President; Carl Landis - Vice-President; Mike Clark - Secretary;
Michael Smith -Treasurer and the two re-elected members of the Board of Directors are: Donald Athey and Mark
Cromley. 2010-11 elections will be held at the November 2010 meeting. Expansion of this website to a five page format was authorized at the June meeting. We now
have a members' page, a bulletin board for announcements by and for members, a special events page and a buy/sell page where
members can list antique ag equipment they have for sale or wish to purchase. The content of the expanded website
will continue to be determined by the communications committee who are seeking MVAA members' input on what
they would like to see on the website.
